You might have heard all about
hits and millions with this amount of pages but were
wondering what it's all about.
Here are the statistics on the Alliance League website
and what it means (worry if you start understanding
and getting more interested in it as you might become
a geek).
You will see form the Monthly totals that the amount
of 'hits' and page views start to get more and more
in the run up to the season and during it.
Key to what means what:
Hits:
This is how many hits the site has had.
1 hit is something which is downloaded from the Alliance
site to your PC
Pages
: This indicates how many pages have been
looked at, it might be 100 of the same or 100 different
Visits:
This is how many different ip addresses
(PC's) are logged when they look at the site, companies
like AOL, NTL etc. have 1 ip address for an area regardless
of how many people use it.
KBytes:
This shows how much data has been transferred,
1024 KBytes make up a Mb which is about the same as
25 average Word documents.
